IRctrl HARD - is
a cheap modul for remote control your PC with an
standard handheld TV, Video, or HiFi remote
control unit. It's simply connected to a serial port
(COM1, COM2 ..) of your PC. IRctrl
HARD can
be used in many ways. You don't have to sitt at Your PC
to operate it. Immagine Yourself sitting in a
comfortable armchair operating
WinAmp with a simple remote control, skiping the songs,
turing the volume up or down, rewinding ...
Do you watch movies on
PC? Yes? DivX or DVD? Whatever, becouse afther you use
this device for the first time you will ask yourselfe
how could you live all this time without it! Now you can pause the movie, just push
the button on the remote control. No more jumping up to pause, fastforward, or rewind.
Power DVD, MicroDVD,
BS Player and all other players can be operated with
remote control! You can use your IRctrl
HARD to pause, fast-forward/rewind, adjust volume, even navigate the DVD menu system using the remote. It works just like a regular DVD player, and now you can sit back and relax.
IRctrl
HARD can
receive the infrared signals transmitted by all sorts of
remotes. IRctrl HARD has
been tested with over 40 different brands of remotes,
they all work.
The module has its own microcontroller, which is responsible for the decoding of the IR-signals. Thus no CPU load develops!
Therefore, the IRctrl HARD can be used on slower PCs! The respond is immidiet,
even in aplications that overloads CPU.
IRctrl
HARD is supported by software for
Windows 9x/ME, NT, Windows 2000 and XP and can be used
with third-party software under Linux and Risc OS.
IRctrl
HARD is very sensitive, it can
reach up to 10 m (33 ft.) and has a 80 degree angle of
sight. On the back you see a cable (1,5 m) coming out,
it connects to a serial port on your PC (9 pins). IRctrl
HARD doesn't need any external power
as it uses some of the serial port wires.
